Aren't sure how to play? This page is for you! These rules are very similar to the rules for traditional (on-land) beer dye, with a few changes made to adapt the game for the pool. We also had our best illustrator create a series of state-of-the-art visual aids to accompany the rules for your viewing pleasure.

Put the inflatable table in the shallow end of the pool. Split into two teams of two. Have each team stand on opposite ends of the table.
The Basics
The Basics
1) Each player takes turns tossing a single die one at a time. First player A on Team 1 tosses, then Player B on Team 1, then player C on Team 2, then player D on Team 2, and then the turns start over with player A on Team 1.
2) The die must travel at least 5 feet into the air in order for the toss to count.
3) The general goal when tossing is to land the die on the opposite side of the table or in the opposing team's cups. If the die lands on the opposite side of the table and then bounces into the water, the tossing team scores one (1) point!If the die lands on the red line, we count that as the opposite side of the table.If you're drinking, both players on the defending team must take a drink.
4) However, the defending team can stop the tossing team from scoring by catching the die after it hits the table but before it lands in the water.
Beginners can use both hands to catch the dye. Pros should only use one hand to catch the dye. If you want to make it even more challenging, have players hold a drink in one hand and only catch with their free hand!In traditional (on-land) beer dye, the defending team has to wait until the die rolls off the edge of the table to catch it. However, because bounces are trickier to catch off of our inflatable table, we recommend letting the defending team catch the die as soon as it hits the table.In traditional beer dye, you aren't allowed to "trap" the die against your body (pin it between your hand and body). If the die hits you, you have to catch it once it bounces off of you or hold your hand flat below your chest or stomach and let the die roll into your hand. Feel free to get rid of this rule to suit your skill level.
5) If the die lands in the opposing team's cup, the tossing team scores five (5) points!!! This is the equivalent of a home run in beer dye!If you're drinking, the defending player closest to the cup must chug it!
6) If the die bounces off of a cup and then lands in the water, the tossing team gets three (3) points!It counts even if the die bounces off of the opposite side of the table, then into the cup, then into the water. If you're drinking, the defending player closest to the cup must take three drinks.
7) In traditional (on-land) beer dye, if the tossing team completely misses the table, the defending team can "FIFA" the die, meaning they kick it to their teammate and their teammate catches it. If they do this without the die ever hitting the ground, they score one point.
You can't really kick the die in a pool. The best replacement we've come up with is to hit the die underhand with a closed fist (volleyball-style). If the defender's teammate catches the die before it hits the water, the defending team scores one (1) point. Feel free to shoot us an email if you think of a better replacement for FIFA!

Most people play games to 11, with the best two out of three being the winner. Feel free to play games to 15 or 21 if you want longer games!

The only four ways to score are 1) bouncing the die off the opposite side of the table into the water before the other team catches it, 2) landing the die in the opposing team's cup, 3) bouncing the die off the opposing team's cup, or 4) FIFAing the die on defense.Below are some things that don't count as a point.
If you totally miss the table, you don't get any points.
If the die bounces off of your own side of the table and then into the water, you don't get any points.
If the die bounces on your own side of the table, then onto the opposite side of the table, then into the water, you don't get any points.
